Our Mission

As your Evans PTA, our mission is simple. We aim to make your student's time at Evans unforgettable. How will we do that? Our general goals this year is to promote a sense of community within our school, to promote inclusion for all and to provide enriching programs for our Sunray families and staff.

What Do We Do?

Our goal as your Evans PTA is to create enriching and engaging student programs, assist teachers with supplies they need, help aid Sunray families in need through our school's food pantry, school improvements, and any other needs the PTA can assist within the school.

Why Should You Support the Evans PTA?

When you volunteer with and support the PTA, you help make a difference within your child(s) school! Your support and help are imperative to our success. So we ask that you please help in any way you can may that be by volunteering (in person or virtually), monetary donations, supplies needed throughout the school year, and assist with our PTA community outreach.

Florida PTA

The Florida PTA's mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

The first local unit in Florida, was the West Riverside PTA, organized in 1921, in Jacksonville. The Florida PTA began in 1921, with an organizational meeting in Jacksonville. It wasn’t until 1923 that the Florida PTA became an official branch of the National PTA. The Charter was granted on April 14, 1923. We were the 45th state to become a branch of the National PTA. The Florida PTA started slowly, but in 1924, our membership increased 235% (from 1,636 to 5,445 members)!
